We’re happy to support Business Angels that meet the following criteria:

  • Loans from £70,000 and upwards.
  • Supporting Angels who will generally have made several investments.
  • Investment portfolios generally at least 3 years old.
  • We will value your angel portfolio, and generally lend up to 40% of its value.

How Unlock Capital works

1. Your Enquiry

We independently assess the value of your current angel portfolio & assets within one week.

2. Portfolio review

You receive a loan offer, up to 40% of our independent valuation of your angel portfolio.

3. Terms Issued

We will make loans for most purposes. Whether it be purchasing a new asset or doubling down into your best investments, or even making new ones (on which we’d take no carry). 

4. Completion

We collect interest only on your loan on a quarterly basis.

5. Repayment / Exit

Once the loan expires (standard term of 4 years), you will pay back the principal loan, plus any interest still owed, and a 10% fee on any gains you realise from exits in your angel portfolio.
